The particular lifestyle needs of this customer meant that the pool's finished level needed to be at the upper level of the two-storey home.
While mum & dad are upstairs in the living, dining and kitchen area - they are able to supervise their children & friends playing and exercising in the pool. A pool on the lower ground level would prevent this from being able to happen.
What sometimes happens with "out of ground" pools is that the exposed structure can detract from the property's appeal, especially if visible from the street. Not the case here - instead, the pool's external structure was lined with stacked stone to help blend into the natural surrounds, and a glass insert was placed into the concrete structure itself.
This glass feature glows like a neon light at night making the pool a focal point of the property from the street's perspective, whilst not sacrificing any all-important privacy of the family.
